How can someone have a weeding and nobody attends?
Recently, we had a prospect, not even a customer Kaisha Hwang or Kay Hwang of Alhambra who posted ridiculously false info about our company claiming as if she had no issues in her house when we clearly found them and even submitted photos and other proofs. Also, as a real estate agent she should know that there is hardly any house in Los Angeles which does not have any termite issues. We sent her the clear photos of her own home where termite problems were shown and told her where she could easily find them. Even after that she kept trolling and putting false info about our company. As a real estate agent she knows that unless we were 100% confident we would never file a false state report, especially when we did not propose work. She was upset that minor noise was made at her home while hitting the wood for testing but again as a real estate agent she should have known that there was no other way of checking her home. Also, if the noise bothered her why would she claim that as if she received incorrect info from us? She told that as if there was another company which was there for almost an hour and did not find anything, but it is impossible for anyone not to see obvious termite damage she had outside her home, not to mention a professional termite inspector while being there not for couple of minutes which is enough for anyone to see these issues but for more than an hour.
Kaisha Hwang or Kay Hwang is a real estate agent and obviously a tricky one! She changed at least three company names in last couple of years and even her name from Kaisha to Kay. She claims in one of the links below that could sell a house in couple of hours. The only way of doing it would be selling it extremely cheap which would make her own client to lose lots of money just for her to make a quick buck. Also, just the fact that Kaisha Hwang or Kay Hwang of Alhambra met our technician in pajamas, went to have a nap or something else when the inspector arrived to her home and was dizzy when she got out tells that this lady has zero manners, is rude and disrespectful person and does not know her elementary limits in anything.

Is there anyone who knows her or can give us some hints why a customer would act like that? As you can see from photos and links there can be no doubt that what we say is true. So, why would a customer belittle a business which did so much free and good quality work for her by also showing and proving it when she did not pay a penny for that? What will be the psychology of such a person? May be you are a psychologist and can give us your thoughts?
Speaking more generally, there are many problematic people whose homes no contractor should put a foot. These people can cause lots of problems to honest, hard-working folks. Every wise business advises their employees to detect those problematic people and try to avoid them. At this point there is no database of such problematic customers where business owners put information about them to warn others as well as can check information of their prospective customers to service them or not. We would love when someone calls us and gives us their name, we would put in such a database to see if something pops up or not? Business have lot more in stake because of potentially problematic customer as opposed to customers hiring no so good contractor. While yelp screens business , there should be another site which screens customers too. There have been many humble, hard working people who lots lots of money because of hysteric people who defame them online. There are people who would go and post bad reviews, lower business reputation, tell those who go to their home such as our inspector that are looking excuses to sue business to extort money, trick small businesses like this Kaisha Hwang or Kay Hwang who sued a contractor who did lots of work at her home and then even after that made him to pay her. In general don’t you think that businesses should have their side of the story too? Like in yelp we have almost 250 reviews with 4.5 star rating because there are about 20 1-star reviews where no work was done, but these people had the nerve to post a bad review about us. There are 8 reviews regarding couple of second telephone call while our jobs sometimes takes days to finish. This is while we know all of these people by their name, telephone number and address. We even checked couple of them and found out that some have criminal issues in their background. People, employers always google someone’s name. So, how about we put these true facts in our site too so that when someone specifically looks for them they will find out what kind of nasty and unjust people they are?
We are considering to have our inspectors to turn on their voice recording and possibly video recording devices as soon as they arrive to a property since again it is a big liability to deal with some problematic customers such as this Kaisha Hwang. In the past we had a 62 year old lady who terrorized our business by claiming that as if a 23 year old crew person wanted to “hit on her”. As soon as she started to intimidate the inspector he promised that she did not owe anything to us (almost $5,000) in return of her refraining from a lawsuit. After inspector made such ridiculous promise we could not overturn it since he was representing us, and did not coordinate it with us before he promised it. Just a little detail – the 23 year old crew guy did nothing wrong, did not say anything inappropriate or disrespectful, and her husband was in that room when according to her he was “hitting her”. When we asked what she meant by “he was hitting me” she said he was too friendly and that was looking too carefully to her new $50,000 on plastic surgery job but was just looking and did not say anything! So, it would be a great idea to show entire world who she is too! What will happen next when now she has $70,000 lip job when a plumber goes to her home? As soon as he looked at her lips, she will say he wanted to rape her? Then let everyone know who she is so that nobody would go to her home! Also, we had a lady in the past whom one of the inspectors told that needed to check the bathroom. She found it offensive even though we indeed must check the bathroom, otherwise complete inspection becomes a limited one for which we cannot provide warranty. By her dirty mind or for intimidating after work was done she told that would call her husband and say that the inspector did not behave decently when scheduling he job and she wanted a big discount. As a result she never paid her partial invoice after that and got a free pass for a day and half job. Also, if you are an attorney what do you think? Will it be legal to send our technicians with recording devices? We work in Los Angeles not Joshua Tree and there are lots of evil people in this city whose homes we go. Also, if you are a contractor and have similar story, feel free to share it with us. If customer is always right, how come if they don’t pay you can sue them or place a lien to their house? What if you work for three days and when it’s time for customer to pay he says doesn’t feel like it. Does it mean he is right? If a 62 year old lady fabricates that someone was “hitting on her” to scare humble termite inspector and goes away with $4,500 bill does it mean she is right?
