Drywood termite damage photos from one of the recent repairs and termite treatments done by Prime Termite.
Even though the property was not very close to the ocean line but still had lots of termite damage. As you can see drywood termites can do severe damage. This is why they need to be controlled, repaired and prevented properly. This pictures were taken in August in mid Los Angeles.
As you can on the photos, drywood termites can damaged a support beam in subarea due to the fact that the structure did not get termite inspection and did not find about this damage on time. This very important structural wood members needs to be replaced which requires at least 2-3 days of work by also obtaining respective permits. Also, some areas in house need to be made accessible for further inspection. Obviously, the homeowner could have avoided these expenses and alterations to his house if termite inspection was scheduled on time years ago and preventative organic wood preservatives were exposed to the wood members above.
